    Out of Sight Seattle

    I am happy to share that my work will be included in the annual Out of Sight exhibition in Seattle, WA, August 3 - 27th. Out of Sight is an annual survey of contemporary art in the Pacific Northwest exhibited in the historic neighborhood Pioneer Square in Seattle, Washington. Running concurrent and adjacent to the Seattle Art Fair, it populates over 18,000 square feet hosting 109 artists and over 300 pieces and performances. The grand opening is August 3rd.   • Erotic Possibilities Symposium

    Erotic Possibilities Symposium

    Erotic Possibilities is a series of panel talks, inviting different practitioners who in one way or another have benefitted professionally from sex and sexuality. The talks will investigate the evolvement of sex and sexuality today and explore the meaning of sex and music, celebrity, fashion, art, publishing, activism and photography. I am pleased to say that the promotional materials for the event feature selections from my series Plea for Tenderness.

    Hosted by Reba Maybury of Wet Satin Press and Matthew Holroyd of Baron and Baroness Magazines, the event takes place at the Ace Hotel London Shoreditch on Sunday March 26th. You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets by following this link.

    The Studio Break podcast teamed up with Demo Project for the Studio Break 2016 contest and I am pleased to say that I was selected as the 2016 competition winner. I was recently interviewed for Studio Break, a Chicago based podcast founded by David Linneweh and I have an exhibiton on view at Demo Projects in Springfield, IL. You can listen to my interview and over 170 interviews featuring artists from around the globe on the Studio Break website studiobreak.com or through itunes. The exhibition, Touching will be on view at Demo Projects through February 4th.     Public Lecture at the Tarble Arts Center

    On Thursday January 19th at 5:30 pm, I will be giving a lecture about my work at the Tarble Arts Center at Eastern Illinois University in Charlston, Illinois. The lecture is related to my current exhibition P.S. that will be on view at the Tarble Arts Center until February 12th.     P.S. at the Tarble Arts Center

    I am excited to say that my exhibition P.S. is currently on view at the Tarble Arts Center at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. I am the artist in residence at the Tarble for the months of November and December and in addition to the exhibition I will be conducting workshops in local schools and in the Tarble classroom. For more information about the residency and their exhibitions please visit  www.eiu.edu/tarble. The residency is funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Illinois Arts Council Agency. At the conclusion of the residency there will be a reception at the Tarble Arts Center on December 15th from 5-7pm and the exhibition will be open through February 12, 2017.

    Selections from my series Calisthenics are currently on view in the School of Art and Design Faculty Exhibition at the Krannert Art Museum in Champaign, Illinois. It is a great show and I am honored to be included. The exhibition will be open to the public through December 22nd 2016.
